Free food, court and a new mummy and daddy for T!

Hello!

The past few days a lot has happened, so I will try to tell about most of it but I will keep something for next time;)

The baby P (5.5 months old) is ready for adoption but when the agency was making matches there wasn’t a family for him yet. You know why? Cause the familys wanted only girls! I think this is really ridiculous, a shame cause it would be good for him to go as fast as possible so the new family can have him when he starts crawling and gets teeth. Let’s hope they find a family soon.

A family from the USA stay at the same property as me. They work on some other project in the neighbourhood. One of them is food distribution. A few days a week they will get food donations from different supermarkets. Sometimes there is food that is not appreciated in town ships like sushi so those things come to us. If they have enough food we get a lot too. Like cakes, tomatoes, lettuce etc. Mostly fresh or damaged food that expires soon. It is really cool to feed a lot of people with all this ‘free’ food. It is a lot of work to go get all the food, sort it out and get it to all the different people and places. Respect for all the work people put into it.

The 18th of July I have been to court with one of the children. It was a really special experience. It took place in a sort of container and most of the people were dressed informal. The social worker was 1.5 hours late. We had an appointment at 9 o’clock and we started around 12:30. We had to wait outside and T was really bored. He had like the worst social worker ever. She hadn’t done anything yet. Luckily he got a placement anyway (temporary) till all the paperwork was done correctly by the social worker. T was asked, when would you like to go to your new parents and he said ‘today’!

He has waited 5 years for this to happy, so he was super excited. Afterwards we went to the mall for grocery’s and lunch. I bought him some new socks and toothpaste and brush. His were all in bad shape so I thought let’s give him some good stuff to take. I will really miss him, cause we could really get along with each other. I hope he will enjoy his new step in life!

I really wanted to say how happy I’m to have this opportunity. I’m really thankful that all this is possible, I enjoy everything and I’m really grateful to have the possibility to do everything I always said I wanted to do. Also all the people who I met over here are so nice! I have met some wonderful people over here, who do awesome things. It is so nice to meet all these different kind of people and see how they do things. Thanks for all you time and help!

When I came here the main house had 6 children. Four days later only five were left. Since Friday we only had four left. Today two left to spend their holidays at their grandma’s. So now there are only two left. The baby and a five year old girl. Because there a some few children I will go help at another place with orphans. I will go tomorrow and stay there probably till Friday. I went to pay a visit today. They could really use the help. So if we don’t get two new kids upcoming days I will help over there. I will tell about I more specified in my next blog.

Tonight will be my first night shift with P. So let’s see if he can get me awake when he cries for his bottle.

I hope you all enjoy reading my blog!

X

Xxx
