Visiting Boksburg again!

Hi there!

I arrived safely in Boksburg (next to Johannesburg) wednesday, I'm staying at a friend till monday. Monday I will finally go to the orphanage in the Dinokeng game reserve.  They will pick me up in Pretoria so I will have to take the train from the airport. I'm so curious about how my time there is going to be, I'm really looking forward to go and meet the children again and some for the first time. A few children I saw last time are gone now, so maybe new children arrived already or will arrive during my stay.

The name Tshepo ya Bana means 'Hope for Children'.

Yesterday I went for a walk in Boksburg and bought some things at a flea market, there were all kind of shops, like Chinees, Indian and African. Everybody is trying to sell things to you, because you look like a tourist always. It doesn't matter how hard you try not to, they can see it anyway. That makes buying things for low prices hard, but I got something off the price, so I was already happy. 

I also went to some kind of pet store, which had a sort of bird zoo in the garden. They had all kind of tropical birds, I didn't really like them being in a cage but they were super beautiful. I will try and upload some pictures of them. 

A housemate of Maartje (friend I'm staying with) is from India and he cooked an Indian egg curry with pancakes for us. I really liked it! 

After the dinner we build a little fire because it's soooo cold here. Yesterday it was like 13 degrees, so way colder than in the Netherlands. It's winter here now, so I was really cold. Hopefully the weather will become a bit better, because my toes were freezing yesterday...
